Another favorite TV Western many might not know or remember is Bordertown. I ran into it quite by accident when it was in first-run and was sad to see it also short-lived, though this one had three seasons from 1989-1991.
Bordertown straddles the US and Canada between Montana and Saskatchewan. The town is literally divided between the two countries. Hence there is the Canadian Mounty and the US Marshall who patrol the town.
It's your typical Western fare with a good story each week. Bordertown ran for three seasons before it was canceled. It was run by the Canadian Television Network, something I didn't know until I researched it just now.
Starring:
Richard Comar as Marshall Jack Craddock
John H. Brennan as Corporal Clive Bennett
Sophie Barjac as Marie Dumont - town doctor
Marie Dumont is a widow whose attention is being sought by both the US Marshall and the Canadian Mounty.
Information gleaned from Wikipedia and IMDB.
Thanks for reading.

I do not know this series at all. I did some research. It was shown on the Family Channel which was cable and I did not have cable TV then.

Have you heard of The Bridge? There was an American version, and it was about the border between America and Mexico. Your post reminded me of it. I have no idea if it was good or truly a Western. But that rang a bell. I think it was on FX. The original version I think was from Sweden or Norway.
