Praise God, the bathroom remodel is done! My husband's been working on it for five weeks and finished up yesterday. I helped a little here and there, but it was a major undertaking. We texted photos of it to my friend and of course, she was excited. Hopefully, she'll come home in a few months. She has two grown daughters in Massachusetts with some issues, so she wants to be there for them. It was so weird at times, though, while we were working on the bathroom. It was the same bathroom we had when we rented that house about forty years ago! After we moved from there and bought our home "next door" (about a quarter of a mile away), my friend's mom and stepfather lived there until they both passed away. Lots of good memories of when we lived there...our daughter started piano lessons, our son graduated from high school, a few not so good memories like most families have, but over all, much to be thankful for and to remember fondly. So, now that the remodeling is over, we were going to go fishing in the pond behind our house, but the local bait shop was out of minnows. So we'll try tomorrow afternoon, then have a fish fry one day soon. Hope it's cooler where you live. It's awful here. Stay hydrated and don't forget that sunscreen!

It's always good to get renovations finished. Houses do hold a lot of memories.

Oh, I bet that was a huge relief to get the remodel done. There is nothing like remodeling to raise the stress level in a house.

That was a big catfish that my grandson caught years ago at our pond. We enjoyed it a few days later!

That's our grandson years ago with a catfish he caught in our pond. And yes, we fried and ate that fish and it was scrumptious!
