Icees

I want to rant, I want to do it so badly but it is literally pointless at this time of my mylot participation. So, I'm just going to title my post with food so people actually pay attention to me. . ANYWAY Happier things, Felicia, Happier things. You don't let your invisibility get to you. So my mom got a new TV. It is a smart TV and it is nothing like anything she has had before. Basically, a smart TV is a TV built in with a bunch of streaming channels like Hulu, Vudu, Youtube, Netflix, you name it. And she only got it for 100 bucks! She was already considering it when it was 138 but she saw it and swept it up, there were only 3 left and she wasn't going to miss out. She was a little upset and it made sense as to why the price dropped insanely, but for some reason the little remote it is a Roku remote does not acknowledge channel input. It doesn't have numbers on it. (my mom also thought she didn't have a volume button, but after dropping it like 5 times she noticed the volume was on the side) So my mom got a universal remote and unfortunately, this kind of TV does not acknowledge channel inputs. So she cannot input antenna channels like 10.2 or 45.3. She was a bit upset because having to surf through channels would be a hassle! But I came out there and helped to see what I could do and I discovered a guide, like a TV guide and my mom was so excited! That isn't exactly what she wanted but it was something helpful! So I felt really good that I helped her. And I dove a little deeper into the SmartTv, places that my mom wouldn't have thought to go and put more free streaming apps on her TV for her to enjoy. My mom greeted me with a cherry icee when I woke up from a nap as a reward for being helpful. What can I say, I like tinkering with technology and seriously, if I wasn't in love with Chromecast, I would so invest in a smart TV they are so cool. More convenient because she has so many things she can watch and only had to spent 100 bucks 1 time for a TV instead of 60-100 bucks for cable that she would only watch like 3 channels of.

Your mom was surely more than happy that you were able to help her. She has now a great TV that she paid a reasonable price.

@LadyDuck Never really has before, most of the stuff she watched was on the computer at an uncomfortable desk. Now she can sit at the couch and relax a bit.

I'm glad she got a new TV. I know she's super excited about it. Once we move I'm going to get a smart tv. Or maybe just a bigger screen for my computer.

Smart Tvs are so handy. I like having my chromecast because I can work on my computer and then just look up at the tv whenever and I don't have to bother my work
