Beauty Splashing Through The Water.

Its been a long time since I have seen this Series and it was in truth a great Series for all ages really. It was produced by Talbot Television and shown on London Weekend Television. Its called "Black Beauty" and it was written by Anna Sewell her book was called "The Adventures Of Black Beauty". Wonderful that it was produced so well on Television for all of us to enjoy. No Cops or anything like that just good old Black Beauty. He was a magnificent Horse and the theme music still gives me goosebumps and to be able to watch him splash through the water. Have a great start to the week all. He is so lovely to watch.

Some theme tunes really resonate with you don't they? Unfortunately I haven't seen this series.

You can watch it on youtube mostly as I only have Spanish Television here so its a very nice change to hear the voices of Great Britain again. Incidentally I was thinking of the Cornish woman and she was called Mary Broad Bryant who was deported to Australia in those times. There is a film based on her life and a book as well.

I remember seeing Elizabeth Taylor in Black Beauty and read the book as a child. This I haven't seen nor heard, but some songs evoke such memories.

The music of the Series is something I have always remembered and the horse also. Black Beauty was a racehorse before he was in that Series you see. He was very popular with everyone. Yes I remember Elizabethe Taylor in that film also loved it.

I can imagine the cowboys on top of such horses. So fats, yet they manage so gracefully to ride them well and safely. It's so nice to see a galloping horse. So powerful to look at.

He is a beauty to watch I agree. I don´t know if his real name is Black Beauty as he was a Racehorse as well you see and you can tell by the muscle power he has in there. I think he was a winner also.

He is so gorgeous or was. Its been ages back now this Series but the Horse still lives on in the minds of all who loved him so much in the Series. Last thing I knew a Lady had bought him and was looking after him. He had a huge field on a kind of Farm to run to his heart´s content. You can see wee bits of the Series on youtube. Probably its called "Adventures of Black Beauty" if you try to find it.

@LadyDuck There are a few episodes of him and it can get mixed up with the Film as well and I also think that there are at least two similar Films also but its not the same at this Series by a long chalk. The Series was very well made and all credit to those who were able to bring it about.

He was such a beautiful horse and he was a Racehorse sometime before the Series was made. Such a beautiful line in him and a lady bought him and gave him a good home as well. I used to watch him every week like a little girl.

@ShifaLk "Black Beauty" as his name was then not sure if it was his real name or what because all I know is that he was a Race Horse and he was rescued by a lady who took him in and cared for him all the rest of his life and I wish I could have done the same what a lovely lady to have done so.

For me this is how I love horses to be and not made to run against their true nature. He was so beautiful and still lives on for me the power and the strength he has there is gorgeous to watch and the music takes me back and this was supposed to be for children really and I was a bit more grown up than that and I used to cancel everything to sit and watch him and then go out after I had seen the Series.

It has been a great Series for us kid that was and for the little kiddies as well. He was truly beautiful horse and he ended up with an owner that looked after him very well as you know horses are very vulnerable at least here.
