So, tonight I was in the mood to watch some old movies. Sometimes I even watch ones I have seen many years ago over if I loved one enough. I happened to remember ,not exactly when though speaking /typing with someone on here about movies made over and old ones we liked. I mentioned how I loved Tombstone , the movie from the mid 90's and someone, sorry don't remember who, said one was made before that one back in the 30's or 40's about the same subject called My darling Clementine. Who knows why they named that movie that except for the fact one small part had a girl in it called that. but mostly the movie was a very good western. Anyway, I looked it up on youtube as they have lots of full movies on there. I started watching another after that but just thought I would let anyone here know these can be found. Of course I know most don't like black and white old ones these days but it is a nice break for us that do when we get tired of all the extra sex and cussing in the newer ones. Good old western that one. anyone else find good full movies on youtube lately?

most of us over 40 yrs. do seem to enjoy them. it's a shame younger folks miss out on some really great story lines, plots, and acting just because of no color on the screen.

@marguicha yes not as good. sometimes too much scenery takes away important insights from the feelings of people and true understanding of whats going on and young people today mostly don't seem to get into deep feelings. a few do but mostly not

@bunnybon7 Some movies are better in black and white. I am sure color would not help Casablanca.

I don't mind black and white movies but my kids refuse to watch them. I had a black and white tv when I was a kid which was not common in the 90s. I have never heard of either movie you mentioned in this post.

@bunnybon7 my parents had color TV's but in my sister and my room we had tiny little black and white tv as they were much less expensive then the color ones. I didn't mind watching things in black and white but my sister didn't like it. I imagine if I grew up with only black and white seeing things on a color tv for the first time would be so interesting. So like on "I love Lucy" it would have been shocking to you to realize wow it's actually red her hair not brown.

@shaggin yes it was. like a whole new world opened up. some have digitally colorized some old movies these days but i hardly notice the difference in watching black and white. it's still a good story to me.

i know the feeling. i never had a color tv until i was 35 yrs. and everyone else we knew could afford one before that in the early 80's when i got one i was blown away by some soap opera people i watched having red hair instead of dark blonde or black. so much i had been missing. i guess i like old movies sometimes because they bring back nostalgia for me. yes the kids usually take over all tv rights. lol which is why i am just now catching up on some old programs.

I like watching the old movies too. Some plots of them are fresh in my mind ,such as cowboy movies where they all carried revolving pistols in their belts and every shot told.
