It’s Disgusting and Hazardous Too!

I will see this neighbor in the community justice if he would not stop burning his garbage. I have this neighbor who has this habit. There are trees in his compound and he would burn those falling leaves together with other trash. The bad thing is he would do it in the wall near our house and the smoke will get inside and we could not breathe properly including the child. I remember a time when I have a cough and he did burning of trash including rubber and plastics as the smell suggests. He was already told about our problem but this man still does it at least once a week.

Few neighbours are really troublesome. They dont change and sometimes we have to make adjustments for the problem they are creating. I think clearly stating your problem again might be the start to get to a solution.

@ZedSmart yes some people are not mature enough to think before doing such a thing. We need to repeat the problem created by them so that they can understand what they are doing, maybe they can understand and change, hopefully.

@vsai2008 I hope they can understand and will change too. We are complaining because it's not just us who were directly affected. They must think the environment also. I have enough for them.

They don't care and I seems that it just OK with them if the others were complaining.

I won't mind if it's just leaves, I like the smell of burning leaves especially mango, it keeps pests out and also good for our plants if done once in a while. It's when you include things like plastic, rubber, styrofoam and the likes that is irritating and dangerous cause they form dangerous toxic compounds. What he is doing is illegal, we have a clean air act in the Philippines, in fact it was authored by a former senator from my city

@ZedSmart yes, thick black smoke is emitted by burning rubber, plastic, foams, smoke kllls more people in a fire than fire itself. If I may suggest, why not take a video and have him summoned to the barangay so you can iron out the problem.

The smell of the burning leaves maybe tolerable if inhaled in just a small amount. However, a thick smoke blown to our direction sometimes (we cannot blame the air) We're like mosquitoes driven away. That's the problem because I can smell the odor of burning rubbers and plastics which is very hurtful when inhaled.

It's terrible how people in our county aren't still educated when it comes to burning garbage. It's not only hazardous to other people's health but to the environment as well.

We have that ecological and solid waste management law but when it comes to implementation, we still far from that. And there are just people who are not adherent with it.

@toniganzon Maybe some of them did not know but if you tell them they should be aware because in the long run, if they do not want to follow and break it, they might suffer the consequences.

I hope you can report him to the authorities. He is endangering the health of you and your family and polluting the environment.
