Where is your money safe? Bank or to your wallet?

There are so many snatchers nowadays who steal phones, wallets, and other stuff from you, but where is the safe place where we can hide our money?
I put mine on my wallet, and some in my bank, just in case something happened, I still have back up money.
"I also heard that there are banks getting bankrupt, ends in running away from their clients"

I have money in my wallet, vault, bank and believe it or not I piggy bank coins and folded bills I think you have an edge if you bank with the top banks in our country ( Philippines) like BPI, BDO and Metrobank, they are more stable than small banks.

@tech40 my wife also banks with BPI, anyway our bank deposits are insured by PDIC up to 500,000 PHP, so do not put more than that amount in a single bank.

Yes currently I'm using BPI where I receive my salary so far they're good, so far I didn't encounter any problems on our banks that we have here in Philippines, but I remember before that I watched a news on TV that one of the banks that we have before went bankrupt and they're not able to return their customers money

@louievill I believe in that, even the rich people have multiple bank accounts, they have BPI, BDO, Metrobank, and other Philippine Bank Company.

@Mavic123456 Yes but it's depends to your bank policy, because there are banks that have fee's even if it's a small or large amount of money you deposited to their bank, as long as you occupy space to their bank space, there's a cost.

The banks are bigger thieves than those who steal wallets. I keep much of my money on hand at home and take with me only what I need for the outing.
Leaving it in the bank will see it decrease with every transaction I make...and then some.

In the UK your deposits in banks are guaranteed by the government up to £85K.
I banked in Iceland for a while before the crash and got scared but did get my money back as a dutch bank bought my bank.
I rarely carry more than £10 cash as I use my contactless card for purchases under £30.

The key is not putting all your eggs in one basket. Some in bank, some in stocks, some on hand etc.
