What do you see?

Every day I wake up ready to take on the world, to soar with the eagles, only to go to work and realize I work with a bunch of turkeys! lol

I've seen your reflection there. @40, really? Just looks like 25 for me. I don't want to see my reflection in the mirror. Last time I've checked, there's a monster in the mirror.

whenever we have activities in school, like the return demonstration of the students last Monday and Tuesday, i often take pictures of us part-time instructors. i cannot deny the fact that i have eye bags, some crow's feet and laugh lines, but i am just proud of these because it shows my life as a teacher and as a mother. even the crossed brows when i have a discussion with my sister--it is already deep and embedded up here.

When I look in the mirror, I see a lady who's aging on the outside, only:) My goal each day, is to inspire others, not my personal ego.

I see a tired mother with messed hair

I see a man inspired to help everyone who can, I see the creation of God, whom he uses as an instrument for his mission on earth.

Life begins at forty as the saying goes that's why. Actually, I see in me an old woman whenever I see myself in the mirror. Wrinkles , big pored and sagging skin is what I see. Eyebags are so obvious too. But I don't deter them to make me feel down. All I know, is I have to enjoy life to the fullest, as it rolls.

Also in Italy we say that life begins at forty and I have to say that my 40's were beautiful years. I would go back to those times for sure.

Hmmm... I will tell you what I see in the selfie at the top of this discussion, Toni... Of course, what I see may not be exactly the same person you see. I see a beautiful young woman who has already taken on the world and built an amazing career she loves with further building yet to come... I see a sparkle of mischief in her beautiful eyes and I see someone who cares about her friends and acquaintances... I also see someone who loves her family very much... Wait! You can see fine lines on that impish face? Then you must have much better eyesight than I have or you are being unusually sensitive about something only you can see... I'm not there so can't scrunch up closer to you to see which it is and wouldn't look that closely even if I was there. I know I've told you to stop telling fibs about your age! *sigh*

They say life begins at 40! At first, I did not understand what that saying implies till I had 3 gfs. That is why I never thought of becoming an insurance salesman here in my new country. And let me answer your question ... I see a kissable belly button!Hehehe

I never see anyone more than what I really am. Looking into the mirror, I see a tired 25 year old with zero motivation sometimes. Other times, I get inspired by something and the glint in my eyes come back, but that's it. It's really sad

My doctor told me to stop looking in the mirror. Really! Life at 40 was just the beginning of wonderful things to come for me.

Well good for you-- just start again on a new adventure-- I'm older than you and still want to begin and travel more!

You are still young, do what you desire to do. Young don't look to be 40, you look younger.

I stayed at my sister's in my younger days. They had a few mirrors that reflected differently. Before stepping out I always looked at the mirror that showed me to be good looking. (lol)
