I received an netbanking pin from my bank, the strange thing is I never applied for any net banking recently. Its just the pin number in the envelope and the username is not included. Usually they don't come together they are mailed separately, but the question is if I haven't requested then why did I receive it. I am a little bit worried fearing of any fraudulent activity. Will be calling up the bank about the concern, hope nothing is like what I am thinking.

@nitirrbb7 I agree, they should have informed all their customers first that they were going to send this, Not a correct practice.

Yes Anna did that immediately and the bank responded that they have sent it to all customer's who had not applied for internet banking. They said use it if you like or just keep it we are sending it to everyone. But they should have atleast informed about it clearly in advance wouldn't have caused this panic.

Now that is weird, Nitin! I hope you've contacted your bank by now and found out what happened! Your bank shouldn't ever send you something you didn't ask for or about! Good luck on this issue, buddy!

Yes DE I quickly approached the bank for the doubt. The bank has sent it to all the customers who don't have NetBanking availed. They just want to reduce the amount of people approaching the bank physically to do transactions. Instead they want everyone to go digital. But they should have made it clear to everyone before doing anything like this. And what about educating people how to operate through NetBanking, well I am aware but not everyone can. That was not a wise move from the banks end.

Its obvious to come to our minds that something fishy is going on as the bank did not prior notify the customers that they are doing something like that.
