Money and Amnesia

Does wealth, such as saving your hard-earned money, damage your memory? Banks are so determined in letting us know that we owe them a lot of money. Our credit card debts are beginning to suck up on us until we bleed to death. They don't care. We wonder, "Why did I ever buy those stuff that are now in the shed, stored up somewhere?" Trying to work out towards financial freedom-- being debt-free from the curses of VISA credit cards-- we never want to go through the horrible pit again being tied down (in chains) by bank creditors. As honest people, we remember to pay all our debts to the last penny until we've had enough of borrowing and spending on things we actually don't need. So, what's amnesia got to do with money? My grandparents used to say, "Don't lend people money, it gives them amnesia." Unless, you're a bank--you will make them pay...and suffer. Any advice?

Pay off all debts as quickly as possible. Interest is a "silent killer."

I worked for over forty years and managed to save almost every year. During the latter part, I made it a point to buy only those I needed "right now". That realization helped prevent getting into a debt trap - siva
