Awakened by the strong rain

Exactly 12 midnight we were awakened by the rain with a strong wind blowing against our house. Water were dripping on our bed because our house is under renovation and the second floor is not yet finished. My husband and I got up. He quickly went to the second floor and temporarily put ply woods in between the stair and the wall where our bed was located under while I put pillows on the area where water was dripping to prevent the bed from getting wet. It's better to have a few pillows get wet than getting the whole bed wet. Thankfully, the wind got weaker and so the rain. I turned on the electric fan to help dry the wet area of our bed and later on we got a good night sleep again. A storm is coming and we should be ready folks.
