It feels like a very long week

So I am at home, well fed, an believe it or not. I want to go to bed. The sun is not even down. There is a load of towels in the dryer. I think I should go wash my clothes from this week so tomorrow I will not have to. I got to see a hummingbird come visit my garden tonight. I am glad there are things available for them to feast on. Otherwise they might have a very long week.

A busy day does make me want to hit the sack early too.

Hummers are surprisingly resilient, I finally have morning glories starting to sprout, they should bloom sometime in October or at least I hope so. It's still too hot for them and it looks like the upper 90s will be around for at least another month if not more but at least it won't be hot that long cuz the days are shorter.

I have red portulaca blooming out front. I wonder if they are visiting out back, as I do not have a window out that way. I planted lantana because my grandma always did and she had lots of hummers come to it. I also have trumpet vine all over the yard in back.

Trumpet vine seems to attract more hummers than morning glories @GardenGerty I have seed out for the trumpet vine but I'm not sure if they'll sprout, you're lucky you have so much of it.

I never had them at my other house. I have been here almost three years and I have seen four or five this summer. We are making progress.

Since I swim with students on Friday, it makes sense to come home and wash the towels from there and from home. I will wash kitchen towels separately.

I got a lot of sleep last night. Nine hours straight through. I had taken a muscle relaxer, because part of my new routine has pulled some muscles.

Yes, I think it likes the blooms on my cinnamon basil, although it may be attracted by the red portulaca.
