My daughter who is 1.5 years old and she is already understanding our statements and also start speaking few words to convey her message. On the contrary i saw son of my collegue, he is still not able to speak. So, is it my observation correct that daughter learns faster then son. What you say guys....

It is different for each baby, be it a girl or a son.

I think it's usually the case that girls start earlier than boys. Soon the boy will catch up. No need to panic.

My mom always told me that when my brother was born I was 1.5 years old and already spoke, while my brother spoke after he was 2 years old.

Each child milestone is different, but girls always seem faster than boys.

All kids learn at their own pace! I also wouldn't jump to judge a co-workers kid. How they talk and act at home can be vastly different popping into a new environment.

Every child learn at their own pace. There is no gender discrimination. But some people hold this view that girls speak earlier than boys. But I spoke late while my brother was an early talker. Though I was second born and had a role model to follow.
