So sit back and relax and enjoy my pictures this year. Picture yourselves inside my succa but please do not step on my Sophie. She will be either in her tent or on the rug I put in this year. I am a little early telling you about it. Our holiday of Sukkot starts Sunday night and goes on for 7 days. We eat and for those that want to sleep in what we can a succa. It is called booths. It is a very festive holiday.
So without furthur ado I will share some pictures with you here. The number 5779 is our Jewish year and we can also say 2018 which is the Gregorian year.

Thanks Valerie so much. I took the decorations out of our succa and just have the wall coverings and my chair and step stool in so it very roomy now till it goes down. It is always sad to say goodbye to Sukkot. The holiday will be over next week and then back to normalcy again. It was very nice and busy.

Here is some information about what a succa is. Succa may refer to: Sukkah, the booths erected for Sukkot, the annual Jewish commemoration of the Exodus from Egypt. When the Israelites left Egypt they were in the desert a long time so they celebrated the holiday of Sukkot by sleeping and eating in booths. We sleep in them and eat in them for 7 days here in Israel. No, is is not a booth for selling. I will send you a picture of ours outside.

@Hannihar - I think the world would be a better place if more people tried to learn about each other.

My Sophie is quite a character. I think because the toy balloon cat I got her scares her so she went to hide in her spot. Yes, she does bring a lot to my life.
