Bobby, after the Revolution of '86, JPE, Gringo and RAM staged several putsches, 9, if I am not mistaken, in Cory's six year term. In 1990, the quake crippled the North and the Central Plain, the following year, Mount Pinatubo erupted, you must know the devastation that volcano brought to Central Plain. While the lahar was ravaging Pampanga and the nearby provinces, power outage punished the entire Luzon. Then came Ramos, the dictator's cousin, and entertained his self in Europe while Flor Contemplacion was hanged in Singapore. Erap came next and divided the people further, his womanizing, gambling, corruption and Dacer-Orbito killing, plus the disappearance of Buhain infuriated the people to another revolt, only to install a super corrupt called GMA whose betrayal was as sinister as the devil, the NBN-ZTE deal and Hello, Garci, I am sorry. Our reprieve was accidental, because Cory died, and Noynoy was prodded to lead the land and the people. He did. Our economy grew. The infrastructure was a jigsaw puzzle, he solved it. Our men-in-uniform wore brand new boots, and helicopters became a sight in the metro.BGC flourished, as every province did. Six years of calm, all taken away in two years. Seventy thousand dead now, their names we wouldn't know unless Patricia Evangelista publishes the list, for she diligently went to the wakes of those executed, Ours is a people divided, the idol thing became hero worship. Hope springs eternal. Bobby, and I have my faith in the millennials and Gen Z. They will deliver because I know that I have narrated the grim tales of Martial Law to many a youth. They know. Just wait. They will deliver.

Why it has not progressed? Too much politics. It depends on your side and preference, we criticize those we don't like and praise the one we like. Too much, the masses are pawns being brainwashed and used in their own agenda. People power have been the best way to progress but what happened, nothing, they didn't pull us up to progress and when another administration come we point the finger to them. There are no perfect leader eversince but those being bullied by a systematic group financed by oligarch and use the masses in the street are being thrown away in the power and everyone rejoice, but what happens next, nothing, we are still poor. Maybe should support the present and let us see what he can do.

Yes, you are correct. Too much idolatry and politics. That is why I am encouraging people to air their sentiments, not to remain silent, to react on every misgiving. The present leadership is a foulmouth and a self-confessed killer. Just two years to destroy the economy, and pushed the people furtherdown the gutters. Nothing good will come out of this monster.

@ilocosboy You are correct. We always follow the rule of law. But the abusive foulmouthed has executed scores of young men, on the pretense these youth are addicts, The International Court of Justice has adjudged the foulmouthed guilty of violation of human rights. Israel and Jordan has recently turned down deals because the foulmouthed has sworn to kill more, like Hitler. Now, the foulmouthed has destabilized the country with all sorts of diversion,. If people keep quiet, our country will be sent to the dogs. Always true is Vox Populi Vox Dei. The voice of the people is the voice of God.

I think people are vigilant now, and thanks to social media people are aware and not just silently sitting in one corner, they make their reaction too.
