Have you ever experienced participating in outreach prrogram or relief operations for displaced community due to calamities? Extending help to people affected by natural calamities is sometimes a hard task not only of braving the devastated area but the job of preparing it. Giving the relief goods to the community seems an easy job. But no. It is a hard job. You are rushing to prepare, to make it, before handling it to the concerned people. Putting the relief goods in plastic is a tasky job. Putting the rice, sardines, corned beef, coffee, milk, noodles and candles is time consuming. Imagine packing 30,000 relief goods or more. You will need hundreds of people to do the job. Where will that hundreds coming from. Obviously a company or government unit that emply 50, more or less, cannot do it in one week. Calling out the volunteers to come are welcome.

@ilocosboy yes that's true.. we were also the ones who go to the barrios to distribute relief goods.. sometimes when I was younger, we also repacked grocery items for gift giving during Christmas season...

Without the salary they did a good job. What they have are just snacks and they didn't complain.
