Yesterday was my daughter vaccination day for 1.5 year and nurse gave one injection on her thigh. She cried that time but atops after that. But as time passes her pain and fever starts. Dr told us about this can happen and thats why he gave the medicine also for the same which we neednto give in the interval of 8 hours. But around 6-7 Pm, her thigh swelled up and she was not able to move that leg and slight movement of that leg getting lot of pain to her. She was crying a lot Not able to understand what to do, even we called Dr and they told to give ice message and give medicine regularly... Me and my wife is really worried. Lets see what will happen today

What's the vaccination for? I remember that rural health midwifes, nurses and other trained health staffs in health centers reminded parents to apply cold/hot compresses on the injected area to avoid or minimize swelling and advice them to give the baby with paracetamol if develops fever when they are giving DPT vaccines.

Why the vaccination was given by a nurse, the doctor would have done? If your daughter condition does not improve go to the hospital and ask to see a doctor.
