Not a Good Sign

This morning, on the way to work, it was raining. Not a "shower," mind you, but car wash-intensity rain. As I drove along on the interstate I noticed a police vehicle in front of me. Not just any police vehicle, mind you. This was a pick-up truck, assigned to a special unit whose name was clearly marked on the back. RIVER PATROL. We have a flash flood watch through Wednesday. And, given how hard it was raining earlier, it's certainly not a good sign to see the "river patrol" monitoring the interstate. Appropriate song:
