I could capture these two dragon flies in my camera that were relaxing on one of our plants. On a closer look I notice their wings look as though they have been eaten by caterpillars. Never seen dragon flies with wings having such tapered ends

Never seen those kind either great photo. I saw one the day before yesterday with bright red wings and so I left it well alone not knowing what kind of dragonfly that was either.

@allknowing I like to see dragonflies but keep away from them. I do have a photo of one somewhere around and I took another photo of a bigger one and it did me no harm either.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Dragonflies are harmless. I have held in my hand and let them go many times.

There is so much out there and rarely do we get to see something like this. I am happy that I could take a photo of them.

What unusual shaping. I thought they were white spots on their wings at first as I'd been watching a tiger on the TV last night and they have white spots on the ears.

And double wings too. I also like the colour. Spots on a tiger's ear and that is new too.

@allknowing Apparently all subspecies of tigers have these spots on the backs of the ears. If you look at the tiger on the right you might be able to make out the spots.

I never saw one with tapered wings. It took me some time to spot them. They look like dried leaves. On closer look they both have white spots and the wings are not tapered. Beautiful picture.

When I said tapered I was talking about those curved ends. I cannot see any spots!

@allknowing I got the impression that they are tapered as they have curved ends. But when I zoomed it seems that there are white spots on the wings.

Is it maybe clear spots on their wings? I have never seen dragonflies with wings like this. So pretty!

I have never seen dragonflies like those ones. All those that I see in the garden have almost transparent wings, some blue, other bright orange.
