MyLot Exclusive #30 We know now that Brett Kavanaugh is a liar and emotional basket case. He's totally unfit to hold his current job, let alone serve on the Supreme Court. Only 40% of the country supports him. So why are the Republicans standing by him? Do they really care about abortion and keeping Donny Trump out of jail? No and no. Can they find another Conservative Judge with no baggage that will always support corporations over people (That's what they do care about)? A very YUGE YES on that one. Even if the FBI finds him innocent of the sexual abuse charges, there is not one good reason for the Republicans to keep him. You can make a semi-argument that they think their base, the aforementioned 40%, will be fired up whether Brett wins or loses. But that doesn't really hold water because of the damage they are doing by standing by Brett far outweighs it. So what is the real reason they didn't dump him weeks ago? I have a few ideas. The one that seems most likely is that he paid for his seat, the Republicans in the Senate knew it and the only way to keep it quiet is to keep fighting for his nomination until the end. But that's just a guess. I really hope the FBI turns up something that leads to the truth soon.
