Her name is Binita Jain. She hails from Assam state of India. She is teacher and having two children. She decided to fight out with the life after initial depression she faced after her husband was kidnapped by terrorists 15 years back. She answered 15 questions in the show very smartly to win the Ten million Indian rupees, yesterday (72 rupees is One US dollar today). She was very confident in the show which clearly shows that she came thoroughly prepared to attend the quiz competition and proved her mettle. She in fact knew almost all the answers , she used life lines to confirm them. In addition to the winning amount she also won a Mhindra Sports Car worth about a One Million Indian Rupees! My sincere Congratulations to her and I sincerely appreciate her efforts to making this event a grand success! What do you have to say?

Yes, the show was full of positivity and the way she was answering the questions impressed one and all. Her cool attitude and confidence in solving the questions was absolutely superb! Yes she deserves the win and the prize amount! Do you regularly follow this show?

@AKRao24 I do not follow it regularly. My daughters are getting interested in it as their peers keep talking about it. So some days I let them watch it for half an hour. I make sure that I watch it on Friday as they call some karmaveer. I like that and since it is Saturday next day, I am relaxed. I salute this lady's emotional strength.

@vandana7 , I am getting sick of the taxes! It is OK that she is paying taxes for winning the prize, but how horrible is it to pay 30% tax on capital gains?

You know she will have to pay 30 percent tax plus additional surcharge. Effectively, she will be left with less than 70,00,000 INR in her hand. Even that is a lot, but taxes are huge.

She is a confident lady with positive attitude. She is having a son and daughter who are grown up now and working as a teacher in her own tutorial classes. She completed her education after her marriage while giving tuitions to the students, which shows how determined she is! My hats off to her!

Wow that's awesome. I'm so happy for her. In Mauritius no one ever won it. Here it's only 1 million rupees. Last Saturday a man won 200,000 which is the biggest win someone ever won on the show.

@BabeSays , Yes, indeed! That was a bonus question with an odds of 1 to 7, that means the correct answer would have fetched her 70 millions and a wrong answer would have made her to lose those 10 millions she won! So she didn't play for that question as she was unsure about the answer!

Yes, she impressed onevand all by her winning! In fact tough she quit the quiz after winning 10 million rupees, when she was asked to guess the answer to the final question worth 70 million, her guess (which she says was just by intuition) has got turned to be correct!

She is a very fortunate woman to win that amount. Are the game show laws in India the same as in the USA? Winners of game shows must pay taxes on their monetary wins and on any merchandise they win.

Yes, they need to pay the taxes as per the Government rules in India as you have there in US! May be the percentage may vary! Presently in India one has to pay 30% of winning money as tax if it exceeds Rs10,000.
