I did the flu shot thing

I was in a drug store on Monday afternoon and decided it was time for that annual needling, so, I had to wait a few minutes, but it is over with. Flu was responsible for the deaths of 80,000 Americans last year. I hope this year's vaccine is more effective. Older people are the most vulnerable.
I did not get one for many years, but a bad case of the flu caught up with me about 12 years ago, so I get one annually now. That pneumonia I caught on the airplane in April was not a good thing either. While the flu shot won't stop me getting pneumonia, it is less likely that if I get the flu it will be a severe case.
I know many do not get the available flu shots and have never had the flu. That worked for me for over 60 years, but one sickness like that was too many.
Whether you get the shot or not, I hope you have a healthy winter.

@JamesHxstatic There's been early snow in the mountains already. I'm trying to stay calm.

Oh, those darn airplanes probably. We did not get the shingles shot yet, but will. Even with our insurance it will cost $200 for each of us.

@JamesHxstatic Oh gosh, that's a lot of money. Ours are free to over 70s so there are few perks when you get old.
