Is global warming the greatest challenge? How about other threats like asteroids likely to hit and destroy the earth completely?

For us here in the Philippines, Global Warming is a great concern. The strength of typhoons visiting us has grown and it is believed that this is due to global warming.

It is one of the major world problems. Odds of an asteroid with human extinction capabilities hitting Earth unlikely. At least not in the next 1.35 million years according to scientists.

Asteriods may or may not hit us but global warming is the problem in our hands at present and we need to do something about it very soon. Because it would takes years for the problem to get solved and we need to act now.
