Meyer vs Eureka Lemon

Seems as the Eureka Lemon originally came from Italy while the Meyer Lemon was from China.
We planted the Eureka one first in our garden, when it was a tiny grafted bush, about a year ago. Almost half a year later, we paid another $10 for a tinier grafted bush, a Meyer this time. We then waited to see which would be the winner re: growth and fruits.
Just got some time last week to check up on the garden at the back after months of neglecting those lemon trees. I decided to prun quite a few branches from the Meyer one (only because those branches looked too ugly & too unhealthy to my eyes!).
Imagine my pleasant surprise when I saw about five flowers on that small Meyer bush this morning!!! (Now I feel guilty whether I had accidentally removed other potential flowers from my last vicious prunning to that small bush 
.)
Oh well, the Meyer lemon at least is the winner for the time being!!! Hurrah 
. NB. The Eureka seems sturdier (being older), but a loser in this competition!

@topffer I think that might be the case. Eureka is supposed to be about 2-3m tall. Mine is just a baby according to Eureka lemon's dictionary. (Meyer is different. Chinese variety seems to mature faster I guess or they would be in trouble with their own government! 
)
Re: the neighbor plant. Hope your wish will turn true 
. (That reminds me of pulling out another Bradford pear tree plant in my back garden. It came from my neighbor!!! He loves his wife you see, so he planted lots of strange things for her. They ended up crawling or pestering my garden at the back instead. I saw him removing one vine at his place, but he forgot to pull the one on my side . They are everywhere these days. If those pretty flowers were fragrant, I wouldn't mind (look like a type of jasmine), but they are with no scent!!! I should make a complaint, shouldn't I? )

You remember we talked about Mirabilis Jalapa? (4 O'clock flower, or Marvel of Peru) I had planted that one successfully in the past, say, ten years ago. Then we moved house, and that was that. I have tried again and again in the last 5 years, not lucky. They kept dying before flowering. This time, I am waiting for some to not being killed off because of the cold nights. (I am anxious, very anxious... but while watching for those plants, I found the Meyer lemon's flowers this morning! Imagine my surprise! Never thought of this.)

I planted a flower one year that I thought would have a yellow bloom similar to a daisy. It took 3-4 years to get one bloom and that's all I ever got each year. I don't take time to fertilized or it may make a difference

It's awesome you can grow lemons there.
No need feel bad, I think your pruning caused the bush to produce better

@FayeHazel You are right, I just studied that lemon tree closely. The new flowers all come from fresh branches AFTER I had prunned the others.

. But those branches were real ugly and twisted somehow, like they were bugged with some diseases.

Pruning may have actually helped it. Maybe lightly trim the other one too. Most fruit trees produce better if trimmed every few years.
Yes I am always anxious to see the blooms on trees.

I wish I could grow a lemon tree but not possible where I live. I have started some indoor lemon plants from seed but it never flowers.

I usually planted apple trees and I love their flowers. I had to sell my land this year, couldn't take care of it anymore, but it used to be a beautiful place in spring
