I'm proud of Brett Kavanaugh, our new Supreme Court Justice and here's why:

I think this last month has been one of the most despicable episodes in our recent United States history. If there had been any true, credible evidence that Justice Kavanaugh had assaulted Dr. Ford, he would not be a Supreme Court Justice. The lies that were told about him have permanently damaged his family, career, and reputation, because there will always be those who choose to believe the lies that were told about him. If a woman were being considered for a seat on the Supreme Court and an ex husband came forward at the last moment to claim she had been untrue to him with his brother, cousins, and neighbors, leaving the kids to fend for themselves thirty years ago, but for some reason couldn't find anyone to corroborate his story, would all the men start shouting, "Believe the man! Believe the man!" I have a news flash for you: ALL men lie at one point in their lives and so do ALL women. And to those of you who have declared he is a serial rapist, even the so-called "victim" never claimed he raped her. Maybe you should look at the truth, the facts before you slander a person's reputation. Last time I checked, that was illegal.

I don't know why, but people tried to attack him for getting angry and shedding a few tears. If I were falsely accused you better believe I would be upset. The people she claims as witnesses don't even back her up. I feel for his family especially. I always pray whomever lied would be found out. But when someone is determined to hate, they"re going to hate. So many people with so much hate is sad.

@1creekgirl Yes, we have. We've done our best to not be the Christian nation we once were.

It really is tearing our country apart. I hope God isn't about ready to turn his back on this nation. We've pretty much made it clear he's not welcome anymore.

I usually avoid politics for obvious reasons in today's world, but I am in complete agreement with you Vicki! It was a disgusting display by the minority party to achieve an end by any means possible. I am glad they failed.

The''minority party' you allude to had every right to bring attention to this case.or perhaps you and others would have preferred it to be ignored, swept under the rug.appoint him to the highest court in the land, even if there may be allegations against him and very serious ones at that.that is what's 'disgusting''

You automatically call Ms Ford a liar stating there isn't any evidence that the assault took place Where is your evidence that it DIDN'T! ? Why don't you ask yourself, what would motivate this woman to lie, to possibly be charged with perjury, to have to stand up and tell millions of viewers the most humiliating, traumatic thing that any woman can endure? what about her life going forward? You are so quick to defend judge Kavanaugh, who by the way has shown himself to be an arrogant, belligerent person with yes,a drinking problem.who in my opinion, did exactly what Ms Ford said he did.and the evidence lies with her own testimony, credible, believable and impassioned and if the judges life is forever changed for the worst,he has no one to blame but himself

@1creekgirl When asked how sure she was that judge Kavanaugh was the one who assaulted her,she stated 100%.and again, answer this question why would she lie? why would she put herself through this kind of ordeal? and what evidence regarding the assault are you looking for? There were very few people in the house that day a few downstairs and the two people upstairs were Judge Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge (another pillar of society,NOT) did you expect any of these two to admit what they did to her? no one said it didn't happen, they just couldn't recall the gathering. Anyway as a woman yourself, even though you are entitled to your opinion i'm the one who's sorry you believe what you do.

@jujunme Again. Where are the witnesses who should have been able to back up her claims? Even her best friend who Dr. Ford said was there, couldn't and wouldn't swear under oath that she knew what happened. Let me ask you something. If this had been your husband or son or father who was accused of this horrible crime and you knew with all your heart and soul that it couldn't be true and there was no evidence or witnesses who could prove it, would you be be so quick to "believe the woman"?

I'm really sorry you feel the way you do. But what evidence did she show to prove her accusations? I think she did experience an assault, but there is no evidence to prove it was Justice Kavanaugh. BTW, you can't prove something DIDN"T happen. You can only prove something did. And she didn't prove it.

I hate politics and I do not watch all the daily stuff. I did not watch none of this but you cannot escape all the news. Only God knows what happened and he will be the judge of the liar.

You're right, Angie. God does know what happened and no one can lie to him and get away with it.

You are right. If Justice Kavanaugh had published an opinion supporting abortion and other liberal issues, the Dems would have sailed him right through.

@1creekgirl Besides, the whole issue of Roe v. Wade ever being overturned is comical at best. In any event...yes.

It's not only been embarrassing, but evil in the lengths some will go to ruin a person's family, career, and reputation.

@1creekgirl Yes evil is putting it lightly. I cannot believe how our country is reacting to everything these days.
