I Like my Laughing Gas!

I've been back home from my dentist's office for a couple of hours. I'm still somewhat numb. I had to have a tooth pulled. I'm starving at this point, but I'd better wait a little longer to eat. I always pay extra to have nitrous oxide. It's worth it to me! I've heard that laughing gas makes some people act silly or emotional. All it does for me is help me relax and relieves my dental anxiety. I've even fallen asleep for short periods of time. Have any of you had nitrous oxide for dental work? How does it affect you?

I had a few whiffs of it whilst assisting at the birth of one or two of our children... not sure if that counts, though

Hahaa @pgntwo. I don't think a few whiffs is quite the same as actually breathing it in with a mask. Thanks for your comment!

I’ve had it in Thailand. Some guys were selling it from a balloon. It made me euphoric for a very short period of time.

@BloggerDi I don’t even know if it was legal in Thailand. Sometimes we do stupid things when we travel. I do not intend to do it as a past time

Thanks @flapiz. It's common to use it recreationally, but I don't know if it's legal to purchase it for that purpose here in the US.

I’ve never had it, but I remember Robert Klein’s routine about going to the dentist. He explained it as, “You feel the pain but you don’t give a s***!”

I have never had laughing gas. I just get jacked with novocaine.

The Novocaine makes my heart race when it takes effect. I don't like that feeling. Fortunately it passes quickly. Thanks for your comment @JohnRoberts,

Yes when I was a child. I would definitely need it for the dentist now. Glad it works well for you. I hope you may eat something soon.

Absolutely I use it every time. And I suggest it to my friends as well. It is great.
