My mom always told me never to hold on my pee when I was little. She told a story of a girl tummy explode because she kept holding her pee. That story really worked as a charmed on me I would run to the toilet every time I felt like I should. But here is what really happens if you hold on your pee.
Everyone holds in their pee every now and then. And that's okay! Just don't do it too often, or it could lead to some serious problems down the road. Science...

@pgntwo What if you really cannot? You MUST keep it, it would be very embarrassing to pee in public in your pants.

Well what said in the video is not correct. Constantly holding in your pee can weaken your bladder muscles, which could lead to urinary retention and it can also cause a urinary tract infection. My brother is a doctor, many things you find on the internet are not true.

@TheHorse I did, a lot of things explained are wrong. Anyway retaining to pee time by time is not at all dangerous if you are in a condition not to be able to find a restroom.

It's sad how some public places deny bathrooms to people knowing that it is a human basic need.

There are times when I do, especially when I am on the road traveling. I am sure it is not healthy. I'd call into question someone holding it so long their bladder would explode. I think muscles would just rush into action at some point and you'd be forced to go, willing or not, and on the toilet or not.

Yes that's true. I drink less water before travelling so that I don't need to use the toilet to much.
