Indian summer

We've been having these really beautiful October days lately, and I've been absolutely loving it. Today it's 23 °C, which is pretty hot for this time of the year. I've just gotten back from a walk with my mother, and we didn't even need our sweaters. We had some ice cream in the sun, so it was a really nice afternoon! The only think that irks me about these indian summers, is how the mornings can be quite cold. This morning, I was wearing a thick sweater, a jacket, a big scarf and boots, which was appropriate for the weather at that time, but when I left work at noon, I was way too hot. I should really stick to wearing layers! Are you having an indian summer as well?

We get Indian summer after the first frost. We haven't gotten that first frost, yet, but it has been warm. Tomorrow will be quite cool. I agree, dressing appropriately can be a challenge.

Well, it's not a beautiful Indian summer as they have in the United States, but it is a warm nice October.

We're moving into our 'real' summer and today is just gorgeous. Later it will get much hotter of course but today is really nice.

I don't really know how the seasons work in India, but the term Indian summer means when it's actually autumn, but it's still kind of hot like summer. It's when it's unusually warm in autumn.
