I'd rather be home inside where it's warmer, but...

It's about fifty degrees Fahrenheit outside today with 16 mph winds. Brrr.. we are doing the glass roof of a greenhouse type room today. We were going to finish the outside but with the wind I'm not letting anyone on to the roof. My employee wants to work because he has two kids in another city and I have to divide half of his pay for child support unless he makes enough to pay his maximum of fifty per week. Things are winding down so we're not working so much and many weeks he barely gets to keep much. We did the insides of the main level and basement this past Tuesday. and we were hoping to get the skylights and windows on the roof done today too but will wait on the rest for another week when it's not so windy. I'm back home again and can't seem to warm up. I'm not going to turn on the heat just yet. I think it's time for a little nap and then I needed to get back to my Bible study. we are working on an older study done by Beth Moore about believing. we watch a video each week and then have five small chapters to read and write notes for homework. they are meant to be done daily but I've been trying to do them all in a day. I did begin last night and did 1.5 lessons with the other 3.5 to try to finish before six, but after my short nap. See we you all later.

This is a nice covered porch. I have to do the same to our carport, I should use pressure water.

@MarshaMusselman It is still too warm here, 53 F during the night and 78 F during the day. The mosquitoes are still here, I would love a couple of cold nights so they all die.

Is it getting cold there yet, Anna? It got down to 37f last night. It's not too bad right now but I think it's lower than the first we had yesterday. Once it gets colder we don't like working with water much. In fact, if it were up to me we wouldn't have done what we did yesterday. Although, it was somewhat easier to clean because we had more share and the windows weren't drying too fast

@LadyDuck I guess it got down to 26 last night but by three in the afternoon it finally made it to the fifties. Tonight it's supposed to stay in the forties which I found odd since it's a clear night again.

I would be happy to do them for you, Marilyn. It's something that I do enjoy and may continue doing idiotically even after I retire. I don't I'll travel that far though.

Here it has been beautiful in the 70s. Today was a little cooler and rained all day. The photo looks like it was of McDonald's or Wendy's. I can't think which fast food restaurant looks this way for certain.

Ah, I haven't thought off that before. I'm thinking some Wendy's or even maybe bigboys gave had them or something similar before.

That is cold work for chilly days. I hope your employee has another job too. Our entire fall has been like late fall/ early winter. Cold, cloudy and snowy. We had 8 cm of snow on Monday, and little snow flurries all week. Yesterday it was +7°C so a lot of snow melted. Last night and this morning, a cold rain, so there is only a little snow left. I went out to my muddy garden to get carrots and beets and made two kinds of soup. Such a nuisance dealing with all that mud. I didn't want to use the outside sink and freeze my hands! I am glad I am not a farmer. They are just struggling to get crops off the field. Going to go get more carrots to freeze I think. Maybe Hubby will make pickled carrots.

I've never heard of pickled carrots before. And I'm surprised you're able to do anything with the carrots still as you've had snow on the ground already.
