Day 51 Luke 12:11-12 Luke 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: 12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. Have you been asked to give a speech, and wondered what you would say, or if you could open your mouth when you stood before a group of people? It’s daunting. Jesus told his disciples not to worry about what to say when they found themselves in front of those in authority because the Holy Spirit would teach them what to say at the time they needed to speak. As Christians, it seems like an impossible situation. You think you know what to say when confronted. You might have a speech written, but when you stand in front of a group of people, all thought flees. You look at your notes for a starting place. Yet, there are those times when your notes are cast aside and the Holy Spirit takes over. I’ve had it happen. You had it happen. When the Holy Spirit takes over everything changes. What you expected, dims in comparison to what the Holy Spirit causes to happen, and the moment is electrified. People change. What they wanted to do, what you expected, is set aside for God’s greater plan. The saying is, let go and let God. You need to trust God to go ahead of you and clear the way, and watch God take control of everything you planned. The results will amaze you. Let’s pray: Father, let your will be done in my life. Open my mouth to speak only what you will have me say. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 12 October 2018 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

I do believe that yes God works with the weak of this world, even if we can put a word out to start with, yes the holy Spirit (God) takes over. His strength is made perfect in our weak vessel.
