The wonders of Tinago Falls :)

My husband and I had a short trip to Tinago Falls located in Iligan City, Philippines. Iligan is known as the city of majestic water falls. Not just one or two but many more falls situated in different areas of the city. Going there, I guess took us for about 30 minutes from the bus terminal. It has 365 steps going down. It's so tiring but your tiredness well be washed away when you see the falls. It's so tall and deep. The water is cold and when we're at the bottom of the falls (when we ride the "balsa" together with other tourist) there I have proven that the force of the water going down is very strong. I hardly can breath there. I was a little bit worried but we survived. We also tried jumping from the rocks in the area where water flows. It's a bit scary but we also conquered that fear. By the way, Tinago means hidden. Update about the cost of this trip: Motorcycle ride from bus terminal to tinago falls & vise versa is 225 pesos for one person. We are in a hurry that time so we opt to ride a motorcycle. You can also ride a bus or a jeepney going there if you're in a budget (it will slice of more than half of the price of the motorcycle ride) but it will took you more time to get there. Life Jacket = 75 pesos Optional expenses: Water proof cellphone holder = 150 pesos Table = 75 pesos Tour guide = 400 pesos (There's no fixed fee yet for the tour guides. You get to decide how much you gave them. It's not required to have a tour guide but I suggest having one because they will assist you in all your needs especially in taking memorable pictures. They are of great help.) Picture is mine.

Been there and we access via Linamon with 400+ staircases. Climbing is a bit difficult and exhausting than going under. But yes, it's a wonderful experience.

I see. The 400 plus steps is the new entrance according to our tour guide. The old entrance is the 365 steps. Less tiring going up compared to 400 plus and it's free

@renicemae The other side has the minimal fee of 30 pesos that was last year. I'm not sure if they're not increasing their entrance fee.
