Good evening, friends. Preparing the house for Luna´s surgery.

This is my first post today.
I have been preparing the house for Luna´s surgery tomorrow. We will have breakfast with Tania and after that we will take Luna to the vet.
It seems that we will leave her there and go and get her tomorrow evening. I have ready a piece of plastic and a piece of carpet to put over Tania´s car seats. I know that Sombra vomited on her way back, but then Andrés did not leave her a longer time to recover from anesthesia.
I have heard that it could take up to 1 week for Luna to recover from her surgery. I will ask the doctors everything.
I hope everything will be fine with my Luna

I know it is a common surgery. In fact, where I live there are foundations that help poor people spay their pets. But Luna is not any dog, she is my Luna and I am worried.

@marguicha , This happens with every dog owner, for them they are not any dogs any more they becme family members! I understand that....I was a canine practitiner for 8 years in the beginning of my career!

@marguicha for their health later in life they are supposed to go through one or two heats before being fixed. My girl went through one but I will have her fixed before she goes in heat again next July or August.

She is getting spayed. I should have done it when she was younger and smaller, but I did not know it could be done. Now she is a very big puppy and my daughter is taking us in her very small car.

I was not active on this for some time now! Today I have come accross this discussion of yous and I couldn't control myself from responding it.
Regarding the spaying part of Luna, please don't worry about that. Now with advance techniques and sophisticated medicines the things have become much safer and easier.
I am sure she will be alright soon after the surgery and things will be normal for her soon.

I hope all will be fine. Many moons ago in Latvia my first cat had to be fixed. She had the operation, we got her home and were told to keep her quiet but once the medication wore off she was bounding about and we could not stop her and she was a OK. So it will be with you Luna will be fine.

I hope so. But cats are small and my dog must weigh around 25 kilos.
