I found Werther's

When Maluse's post on the Werther's Original delicious sweet came out a few days ago, I remembered having bought them once and seeing them regularly at our local SPAR supermarket. Well, I never got to buy them that week, but luckily for me, the shelves were stacked with them this morning, and TA DA - I have my own stash of Werthers Original sweets. As they are imported, they were a tad on the dear side, but now I am thinking of @Maluse as I chew them - They do not last with me at all. So yes, they are available in my Country which must make up one of the 90 she was writing about. @inlemay I’d buy them if I could be sure that I’d just suck them rather than chew - I value my teeth.

Unless you physically damage your teeth in the chewing, your teeth will suffer more from sucking, because they are in contact with concentrated sugar for a longer time. Or so my dentist informs me

@NormanDarlo My own dentist agrees with you. I’ve lost too many fillings chewing on chewy sweets however, so I’m weary of them.

@xFiacre And so you should be, but the only time I lost a chunk of tooth chewing on anything, was on Nicorette gum. Trying to get healthier by giving up the smokes, but nature has a way of getting into balance one way or another

@Inlemay I'm sure they are, but since I'm off all sweets until I lose this weight, I won't be looking for it. Though I think I've had them, and yes, they're delicious.

@Inlemay I usually have a dark chocolate with coffee, it's the Italian way to go, in fact those small chocolates are called "Napolitaines".

They are quite nice. I'm not mad about sweets generally, so I wouldn't buy them. But I love anything with coconut (such as a Bounty bar - do you have those, Lany?) - and good Turkish delight

We have them here too but I never buy sweets, just chocolate, so I'm not sure if they are expensive or not.
