The results of the test were "bad" but not very bad. Not as bad as the doctor had expected. Discussing our opinions of the heart medicine that was discontinued, this doctor agrees that it could be part of the problem that his bladder does not contract enough. There are prostate issues again as well, but no cancer. So, Bob will continue with the indwelling catheter for two more weeks while all the medicines leave his body. The nurse even indicated that the last medicine, which Bob could not refill until he sees the heart doctor, would be a reason he is tired all the time. So, at this time, the only daily medicine Bob is taking is a baby aspirin. He has permission to take the herb Saw Palmetto. He mentally feels really good. Positive, optimistic We did have time to discuss later other things the doctor had said, and what choices Bob would likely make. It was a good appointment because we got some answers. But not all the answers, not yet. In two weeks we will see how he is doing.

And we continue to be positive. Unfortunately some of the issue has to do with getting older. Isn't it great he has lived so long to have old age problems?

In this world it seems we just will have troubles. We will do okay, though.

Good to hear no cancer and sounds like the rest can be corrected. I am hoping the rest of the news you get will be as positive as this one was.

What we were told, about the test, was that it was not as bad as the doctor initially thought, and there were a couple of reasons for what was happening. At least one of the causes has a couple of treatment options. The other cause may improve with the termination of those meds. The doctor is willing to see before he talks about any other treatments.

At least there is some positives. Hope being off the medicines will help. Getting straight answers is always a big help.

Yes, because we can then make some educated choices. I hate that I am the one who had to do the research and say, "This medicine can cause this." One of his doctors had suggested about two of them being problems and that is what clued me in to think about the others.

I am glad he is off those medications. 500 doctors had Tony on pills that were making him sicker, even blood thinner for AFIB, he quit them all and now all he takes is BP meds and an aspirin. As far as his cancer its in remission and he take Ocdivo immune therapy twice a month.

Bob would still be on a BP med except the heart doctor wrote the prescription and he has not had a follow up with him and the prescription is expired. His blood pressure was crazy low without medicine. We think he does not need that either.
