Weird Word Wednesday- gloaming

Gloaming is an Old English word with Scottish roots.
Here it is, used in a sentence: Grandma always loved the gloaming because it brought beautiful colors to the western sky.
I've heard this word before but didn't remember its meaning. It's not a word I've ever used. Have you?

Yes, and have heard others (not from the USA) using the word too! It is a lovely word, isn't it?
