Today just over a week since Hurricane Michael hit full force jusyt over a hundred miles west of here with us only getting the weaker side of the storm with very little damage the Pensacola Interstate Fair was able to open even though last week at this time it was a staging ground for power crews waiting to get into the heavy damage area. There have been year when storms hot at this time that the fair lost days of revenue and since it was spare this year the fair is showing gratitude by giving a dollar from every ticket of people entering the fair and a dollar from every ride wristband sold next Thursday on the 25th to the relief funds set up for hurricane victims and some of the concessions are going to give 10% of their receits that night. I hope that night is one of their biggest.

Our fair is in town for the next two weeks, and they are doing the same thing, where a percentage of proceeds will go to hurricane relief.

I hope they see revenue on that night they never imagined and the relief effort will get a lot of necessary help.

It is going to take a long time for the affected areas to recover, it was a devastating storm but it is great that part of the fair revenue is going to aid.
