Another Day, Another Hank

MyLot Exclusive #50 Yesterday, I dedicated this space to Hank Moody. Today, I am asking, when was the last time you heard Hank Williams? Sr, not Jr. Has time advanced to the point where many of you answer, "Never?" Even if that is true, one thing I know for sure is that another many of you know who he is and a good number like him. The reason for that is simple. Hank is on the list of Country Legends that most people love, even if they hate country music. Along with Chet Atkins (Most people who play guitar in any genre idolize him because he ranks with the greatest players who ever lived), Jerry Reed, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline. And it looks like Taylor Swift might be the next one to be added. I may be wrong but I think her work is going to age well and in twenty years, some of the songs you think are stupid right now will strike you differently. Now, in the spirit of fair play, I'll answer my own question. I last heard Hank Williams yesterday afternoon during The Randi Rhodes Show (Link at the bottom in case you've never heard of her). It was played right before The Green Report and it was the first time in a long time for me. I thought that was sad in a way. I also figured that lots of other people are in the same boat. So I'm going to solve the problem. So all of them can answer, "Just the other day," the next time the question is posed to them. Not for the whole world. That's beyond my abilities but I can change my little tiny corner of it, my 84 million loyal, dedicated, daily readers.
