Should schools offer cash bonuses for good test scores?

I do support this idea as I believe that a reward could motivate a child to study more. I think all children will be happy to get some money as a reward for their hatd effort.

I'm not quite sure about this, because there are some countries who can buy "grades". This system might be abused by a student and a teacher. Share answer and share profit!

It might breed too much materialism at a young age, what if Olympic athletes were more interested in money than medals? It would frustrate them if they keep getting money in school and land in a low paying job later. If soldiers fought for money instead of love of country then it makes them mercenaries, just my personal opinion.

I think it has been done here in the Philippines before and it did lessen the absentiism and number of out of school youth. But I’m not sure if it’s still ongoing. I think education is very important. Even if I don’t get money from the school, if at least it’s free I’m happy.

If that happens i think children would read to pass because of the money involved not to read and assimilate and really understand for future practice. I hope this makes sense.
