Sad News from a Friend

One of my best friends just called to tell me her dog died. Buddy was such a special dog. Buddy is a name I always called Dustin. The dog Buddy and I instantly bonded, especially when I knew of his name a few years ago. Such a well mannered adorable dog. She doesn't know what happened. He didn't seem sick. He was 10 years old. When she woke up this morning she thought he was sleeping. But he was gone. Such a sad day for her and for me. This is the last photo I have of Buddy the dog. May he rest in peace.

I am really sorry, at least the dog did not suffer, I do not know how long those dogs usually live.

Yes he apparently just went to sleep. 10 years, according to the vet is a long life.

Aww. So sad to hear this. I had a dog named Buddy too when I grew up in New Jersey. 10 years seems to be old for a dog. Cherish the memories.

I guess I never want to lose a pet no matter the age. This dog seemed like family to me.

Oh, I'm so sorry! My condolences to you and your friend. Kuma was only 10, too. . He was such a cute dog, but hopefully he didn't suffer at all.

@CarolDM 10 yeas is pretty young in my opinion. Our dogs lived much longer.

Well not really, he was 10 years old so the vet said it was pretty normal.

People who love their pets grieve when they lose them just as they grieve for people in their lives they have lost. Both human and animal companions boned with us and we miss them much when they are gone.
