If you do not have a cat, but feel the need for a feline fix, then this could be the place for you.
Lady Dinah's cafe and Cat Emporium, a place for tea and crumpets and where you can meet the 'staff' of 13 moggies, who live in a regular cat heaven.
Humans who wish to enter must abide by the rules, such as hand cleansing and not picking up the cats. You usually need to book some time with the furry ones, as it is a popular spot. On this visit the FULL sign was out.
There are around 12 cat cafes in the UK, but the one in Newcastle has my favourite name, 'Mog on the Tyne', but you will need to be a bit of a fan of 70s music and Lindisfarne to enjoy it!

There are some cat and dog cafes here, too. I have been to a dog cafe and I really had a great time playing with their resident dogs.
