When Company Comes...

it seems that when company comes time just stops for a while. I had my brother and niece here for a three day visit and really did enjoy a different pace. We went out visiting, ate out a few times as well as having some fun meals here.
But when you count the preparation time before they come, the time when they were here and a day resting after all the excitement it adds up to quite the chunk of time out of my normal routine.
So I haven't been around for what feels like a week and am only now back to myLotting fairly regularly. This is actually a good thing. It's smart to break up your routine from time to time with family, friends, vacation or even a few days off. It gives us a break and a change of pace so we don't get too stuck in our everyday- every day! Lol!.
It was fun and I loved their company and feel a little refreshed to start again. Whoever said a change is as good as a rest was a wise person.
So here we go again! Ha! How's everybody?

@LadyDuck You don't think about too many worries or work you have to do and just think about entertaining and enjoying your company.

I always thought that the time leading up to the visit goes the slowest, as you are eagerly waiting in anticipation for the day of their arrival. In those days of waiting and preparing, it seems that time stands still. But then when they finally do arrive, it seems time speeds up, and the days fly by. Next thing you know, it is time for them to leave and you're left wondering where all the time went!

Well that too- but in the prepping- I'm busy with shopping etc. and you don't think about your everyday stuff or have time for your routine cause you're busy. Then suddenly they're there and you really don't think about daily stuff. I bet there are some visitors that make time slow to a crawl too---haha!

@MarymargII
That happens when we cannot be here but it is nice to come back when we can.

True it is a real break for a few days although you are busy with other things all through it.

It's nice to have company and do different things than our daily routine. Glad you had a nice time visiting with your brother and niece.

I was happy for the visit- but time kind of stands still while you are entertaining cause your routine falls by the wayside. And I think it's a good thing.
