Our daughter lives in SC....is she a gazillionaire tonight?!!!

When I read that one person in SC is the sole winner of the over one billion dollar mega lottery, I jumped up and hollered to my husband, "Our daughter lives in SC!!" Well, unfortunately, lots of people live in SC. And our daughter isn't the winner after all. But, like I always tell my husband, we're rich, we're just not millionaires. We're wealthy in the things that truly matter more than money. We're believers in Jesus Christ, our children and grandkids are believers, we all have homes, jobs, food to eat, money to pay the bills, relatively good health and live in the greatest country in the world. (That's just my opinion about our country, I'm sure many of you feel the same about your country.) My point is that even though we didn't become gazillionaires, we're still blessed beyond what we deserve. God is our Provider, Healer, and Redeemer! Do you count your blessings? Will you share what some of your favorites are?

I would even be scared to win so much money, you become the target of scammers, thieves, burglars and kidnappers.

@1creekgirl Hard to stay anonymous when you win so much money.

Being alive is a big blessing! Money doesn't matter as much to some as others. Glad someone did win.

@1creekgirl That is a lot of money, even for someone without, isn't it?

I really hope the winner needed it and wasn't someone already wealthy.

@PatZAnthony My husband reminded me that wealthy people probably don't play the lottery! I hope that much money doesn't ruin that person's life who won it.

Every morning I say a morning prayer and thank the Lord for all I have. Then at night, I say the Lord's Prayer. I have enough and I am happy just the way I am. And it turns out I get rewarded for counting my blessings too. I won an Amazon $25 gift card and a wooden spoon (I love to cook) and a book are coming my way free of charge. Life is good.

@1creekgirl thank you. I do always feel better when things go my way. Still some days for reasons unknown I feel like crying but things really are looking up.

I'm really glad to hear you say that. I know it's been so hard for you to lose your husband and then to move back to the US.

No winning ticket for me. I do have cousins in SC. Perhaps I should try to reconnect with them and see if they won????

@1creekgirl All states should allow you to remain anonymous.... People come out of the woodwork to take advantage of your good fortune otherwise.

@1creekgirl and we all live within 10 minutes of each other so we see each other very often. That is the best thing ever. My husband's family is scattered across the country and that is sad to me. It is an effort and expense for them to all get together.
