Why some brothers like to tease sisters?

My brother comes rarely at home. And when he comes he always teases me. He is very sarcastic. I wonder if this is a normal behavior. He said many things to hurt me. He criticized me because I have cats in my home, even if he likes cats. He took pictures with them. He said that he will take one kitten and he will throw her. I don't know what to believe about him. He sometimes is very mean to me. I don't know if he hates me or he loves me. Do you have brothers who tease you? What do you think about this behavior?

He behaves that way because he's an abusive jerk. Threatening to throw a kitten isn't a form of teasing, it's a precursor to animal cruelty. You're better off minimizing the amount of contact you have with people like that. The people who love you should treat you better than a stranger off the street would. Your brother's actions aren't those of a person who loves you.

He only was joking when he said he will throw the kitten. His jokes are bad. He never asks me something. I always have to ask him what's going on in his life. He never asks how I feel, what I am doing. He doesn't seem to care at all.

@dya80dya That's because he doesn't actually care. His jokes are terrible because they aren't actually jokes. Abusive people claim that things are jokes to make it more socially acceptable for them to say the things they do.
