Working full time

United States
October 30, 2018 9:52pm CST
As some of you know, I have been a subbing as a teacher's aide for over a month, but on October 19 I get a call from the principal asking if I want a permanent full time position in his building. So since last Monday I have been working every day and with this new schedule and trying to get my family involved in helping to clean and run the house, and with only one car and my husband working second shift, it leaves me running around at all hours. However, I have been given a car (yes, given by a friend of a friend who is downsizing so he and his wife can move) and that is the car in the photo I uploaded. That will make my life much easier, no more being dropped off at work or dropping my husband off at work only to stay up late to pick him up. So if I were busy before, I am really busy now, but will try to come here as often as I can.

@changjiangzhibin89 It's pretty rough because he has to get up early to take me to work, and if I want the car, I take him to work but have to stay up late to pick him back up.

Second shift means he doesn't start work until 3 in the afternoon and leaves at 11 at night.

Thank you, I love it, even though I am still trying to get used to driving something much bigger than my previous car.

@KOLAMsegaran1 It is a used car, 1999, but taken care of and it was given to me a couple months ago, so to me it is my new car.

@Carmelanirel2 There always seem to be problems at work. It can be a struggle to stay in one place when things are not right. Hope your situation works out.

Me too, I love how I have more freedom to do what I need to do instead of working around my husband's schedule.

@Carmelanirel2 It surely helps not to be obliged to adjust your schedule according the one of your husband.
