Be honest. (If you saw the movie) Did you not shed a tear or in my case a bucket full of tears when you saw the movie "Ghost" starring Patrick Swayze and Demi moore?
I recently read an article about a woman (Amethyst Realm) who said she had supernatural affairs (sex) with a least 20 paranormal beings and now decided to tie the knot (get married) with an apparition (ghost) who she said is her "soul mate"(true love)
Is she nuts? No such thing as a ghost or spirit.!?
Do you believe a spirit world exist or the supernatural is somehow connected with our world and spirits can interact with the living?

@dya80dya I have seen my deceased father in my dream and he told me that mom had a stomach cancer and she needed surgery, it was true. Sometimes I see something moving at the corner of my eye, but when I turn the head there is nothing, many other little things.

I recall that movie, and yes, I cried a lot too. As to Amethyst Realm, long ago there was another movie Entity dealing with that type of subject. I really do not know what their chemical composition is, that attracts paranormal entities to them. I feel blessed mine is not like that.

@josie_ I believe in god. I did not say I believe in supernatural. LOL. I believe people have a tendency to add more attributes than the person had just so that the person looks extraordinarily good or bad. That seems like supernatural, but in reality the person may just have been another king or queen.

Wow, interesting conversation here and lots I could add but I will try to keep it simple (for now).
I did see the movie Ghost and yes I cried. I also saw Entity but read the book many years ago. If true I feel so sorry for that woman. She could have been helped.
I have seen way too much in my own life to discount what we call paranormal. I know this earth is not only what we see or experience with our common five senses. I no longer need proof or confirmation from anyone but on the other hand proving what I know is not something that can be done at this time in human development. Either you know or you don't.
To answer your last line, Yes, but I don't believe this, I know it.

@josie_ The paranormal won't be proven by common modern science, it just isn't geared that way. But there are a number of people (scientist included) who truly are taking a serious look these things. That's good news. They need to look outside the box.
We, that is they already know there are energies that surround us that are basically invisible. New technologies are showing these energies in fantastic ways. And we now know matter actually changes under observation. That's only a bit of what they are finding out so the future is bright.
You are so right about the charlatans but people need to be as responsible there as they are choosing a dentist or anyone in any profession. Charlatans do not make the claims false they just muddy the waters.

@Namelesss _Maybe it's because scientific research follow a methodology which is a long process and takes time. Also the inquiry about paranormal activities does not have the urgency of research of important matters that affect human existence like food production, medicine and healthcare or the earth's eco-systems etc.

There is a lot of research on going about the paranormal. But we have to separate those that are scientific from the pseudo-scientific kinds. As for people who claim they have had paranormal experiences and/or have the ability to contact the spirit world, it is difficult to know who are the highly sensitive able to sense what ordinary people can't from the rip-off charlatans.

I have a friend that thinks she has had 2 ghost boyfriends.
I believe in spirits, I have had actual conversations with spirits but people who think they can be in a relationship with a ghost they had to havr eaten some paint chips or something.
I know I always sound crazy when I said I have talked to ghosts, it isn't like a daily thing and it is up to people to decide if I am crazy or there might be something more to our universe haha all I know is I have had many situations that cannot be explained easily. But no way have I thought oh I would date a ghost. That is a bit nuts.

When we talk about "ghosts" it's usually about a scary experience and often open ourselves to ridicule or disbelief. We can easily dismiss this story as that of a person who is delusional, haven't eaten for a week or recently separated with her boyfriend. But I have to ask. If you've talk to ghosts why would you hesitate going on a date with one? You could suggest going dutch.
We tend to dismiss people's claim about coming in contact with the supernatural to an overly imaginative mind But with so many incidence occurring, surely some are legitimate.

I have my own ghost encounters and they are nothing like the movies.
