My FitBit is about to die

Although I always pack at the last minute, I’m usually very good at it. This time I was just okay at it. I forgot a couple of things like casual t-shirts to wear down to the pool and my Kindle and FitBit chargers. In my defense I was switching my parrot over to a new cage and showing new people how to deal with the animals that evening too. It was hectic. I’m surprised it’s still going but I did get the dreaded email this afternoon saying that the battery is low. It will probably be dead tomorrow. I’ve liked having it though because we do a lot of walking here. We walk to and from dinner and that takes sometimes 40 minutes round trip. I may not be going to the gym and I may be drinking lots of beer this week, but at least I can see that I’m still being active. Most Americans must really be lazy as hell. Our condo is on the edge of town. We can get to most restaurants with a 15-20 minute walk. Every night when we go down though, the door men ask if we need a taxi. there are 3 places we take taxis to and that is because they are over an hour’s walk to get there. Otherwise we walk.

Walking is great exercise. A 15-20 minute walk is a piece of cake and you get to enjoy the lovely evening.
