This is not what I saw through my naked eye this morning.

I love my camera and it has been my companion for several years but these days I notice it does not capture the real scene as it happened this morning. The sunrise I saw was beautiful. Just the bright white shining round sun among the trees but this is not what is captured in the image that I have uploaded here. May be it is time for me to go in for a new camera but tats will be a difficult decision to take as I have happy memories with my camera and replacing it would be quite difficult

That means the camera of the eye still the best one. Sadly, the images only printed inside our brain.

"Change" is a part of our lives so sooner or later we all have to accept this truth. Also technology becomes obsolete with time so its time to buy a new one.

I know what is constant is change but it is not easy to part with something that easily something that has been a part of my life for so many years. It is a good camera.

@allknowing I understand your attachment with that camera & I know its not easy because of all those wonderful moments it captures for you but you know you have to take decision sooner or later. Because you can't let your upcoming precious moments to be ruined with that one.

Looks like you might just need a lens filter. What kind of camera is it?

@cindiowens Hey it worked! They aren't very expensive. You just got sun flare. A lens hood works well too, but not when you're looking at direct sunlight like that.

@allknowing You can find them on EBAY probably a lot cheaper.

Sometimes it does happens what we see is not what we captures and what we see is irreversible and pristine.

I had to replace my camera a few years ago. It is hard replacing something you are used to using.

The digital cameras "adjust" the light and most of the time the photo does not show what our eyes see.

@LadyDuck You may be right. I have too many sun photos.

@allknowing I had special filters for the old fashioned cameras, but it's so easy to use digital cameras now.

@allknowing Using the old cameras we needed a "solar filter" to take a photo of the sun. The sun would have damaged our camera, as it does with our eyes.

I love a beautiful sunrise, and that is just beautiful. I'm sure you'd get used to a new camera and keep the images of what you see with your own eyes forever.

May be I will first check if my camera can be given some kind of treatment for it to do a good job. Other captures I have no issues. It is only the sun photos.

@allknowing Sun photos can be very tricky, but it's wise to have your camera checked anyway.

I hated having to get one too. I really liked where the setting were on my digital camera. But the shutter quit working. So my uncle gave me his camcorder that can take pictures too. I'm still getting used to it.
