NaNoWriMo - Day 10

Yesterday was a very busy day with the ladies brunch in the morning, then the Writers and Author Fair in the afternoon. I left about 9:15 AM and didn't get home until after 5 PM. Long day, but it was a fantastic day. According to my friend at the Writers and Author Fair, I did very well on the panel discussion.
You can see me in the panel in the picture above she took of me. You can also see the pictures taken one year apart in the same sweater. The picture is November last year and the picture on the right was taken last Tuesday.
I've been wanting to show you the change in the past year and I think this being almost the same outfit - different slacks, shows the difference a year has made.
Once I got home yesterday, it was time to write. So, here is my total word count. Book total - 128,122. Yesterday's total - 2423. NaNoWriMo 10 day total - 22,851. The book is coming along well. I'm very happy with the way it's progressing.
Today, I'll be writing before the Packers game starts in 3 hours. Today we're playing the Miami Dolphins at home. I'm hoping for a win with home field advantage.
That's what's happening here. I have dinner in the oven, and it's smelling very good which is causing my stomach some impatience. The timer is set so I won't forget it and have burned sacrifice instead of a new recipe I created. I'll take a picture when it comes out of the oven.
What's going on in your neck of the woods? I know I have a lot of notifications to get to, 300, and I will get to all of them. I'm working on November 7. I'll try to whittle more down once I get my day's writing done. If there's time. Otherwise, I will be back tomorrow.
Thanks for reading.

The words increase while the lbs decrease. Keep up the good work.

Wow, you're doing very well there, Valerie, congratulations and what a great smile you're blessing all of us with.
I completely forgot all about nanowrimo. I've not done it for about four-five years if not even longer ago than that. I used to do it as a rebel and anything I wrote anywhere I counted toward my word count. I could do that with my psots on here for the month, except I feel that God is directing my efforts elsewhere right now.
My husband and I just returned from a marriage conference with our church and it was fantastic. I've been working toward putting aside all my games online for about six months, and I'm now willing to do that for a period of time starting today. I may also put aside mylotting for a short time, I'm not sure about that just yet. A lot will depend on how well I get back into reading the bible daily and praying with my husband and working on some word studies. If I begin to build a good habit with all of that in the next week or so then I should be able to direct some time toward mylotting too. But, I want to make sure I do all of that in a better order than my recent experiences.
Is this a new book you're starting and if so is it another in your series or something altogether different?
I had my notifications down to around fifty or under and kept up fairly nicely and now I'm back up to just over one hundred. So, I'll at least have to work on those a bit over the next week, or save them to evernote to work on later in the month.

@paigea I did remove the Facebook games from my desktop, they are still under the surface but not tempting me so much . I also removed my favorite game from my phone for the third time this year.
I also needed to work at cleaning and doing bookwork as the days progress. I've done a little surface cleaning but need to our some music on maybe to help me stay in the mood and get more accomplished.
It would probably be better for me to stick to one area of the house so progress can be seen more easily. But I tend to do a little here and there.

@MarshaMusselman I like doing a little here and there sometimes. Keeps me from getting bored. I follow FLYlady to keep on top of the household. Sort of.

@FayeHazel I haven't seen much this year. I need sweaters since I gave them all away at the rummage give away this past spring. They were too big due to my weight loss.
