The ones at work again they are not much younger han me and their parents hand them everything. Saying that they can't understand why I avoid my mother like the plague. My mother is far from loving and wanting the best. She is abusive and narcassistic. She wants her children to fail and always has something to say. As on thanksgiving she proceeded to belittle me and make fun of me. I said I always work holidays so I don't have to deal with the narc. The guy at work just could grasp this and said why should he work. I told him buy me dinner and I'd work his 5 he shift and make time and a half.

Yes, my mother is he only sibling technically. She was adopted and her biological two sisters are very very mental unstable. My mother is as well. I don't know how anyone can't see her behaviour. But why voluntarily show up and put up with her. My sister is having a. Cookie exchange in a few weeks. I told her I'd drop them off but not staying as the narc will be there.

I recently read an article on Facebook that told how a mother's voice or hug can calm and sooth us, even as adults. My reaction was....then you didn't know my mother....reading the comments.....we certainly aren't the only one to not have warm fuzzy feelings for our mothers.
