Have you ever written a book that you were afraid would not sell?

I tried to write a little eBook with just a few real short stories and sold one lousy copy but after that I got nothing and I think that eBook got linked to another user who has the same name as I do, first and last only, who has an account and sells his own books written by himself but has my book listed on his Goodreads profile page. I have not written anything since then cause I am afraid of having my work plagiarized. This is the link to my little eBook listed from Kindle Direct Publishing on Amazon.

Wow, that's really good that you can write whole book. I can never imagine about it. I love to write, but not that much. In past I was regular with my blogging habit, I got few regular readers too. I wish I can start blogging again.

Looks like some writers have gone all out and started making their own POD CASTS. I have no idea how much cost and time and experience is involved but I would guess a pod caster does some serious stuff to get it done.

@akp100 , I think if you like to talk and be seen in front of a camera, YouTube is the right thing to do.

It requires a great talent to write a book. I don't have it. Hats off to you

I have tried and tried to complete a longer story but I lose interest in the subject before it gets off the ground, more or less. Maybe one day I will go all out and finish a long novel but not now. Too busy reading other people's stuff. LOL

@amitkokiladitya , Thanks for the optimistic comment. I might give it another try but I will have to do it on paper, and then later after I have gone over it, put it in a word processor and from that point you know, maybe I will try to get something published. But I need motivation as you said.

I went there and my book is no longer linked. I did contact them a few years ago and the link to my actual eBook is still there. But it is not going anywhere. Maybe I should offer it free to everyone or at least a buck. Oh well, it was my first batch anyway. I haven't attempted another eBook in a long time.

It sounds like a good book. I'm sorry it got mixed up with another author's books with the same name as you. I'm surprised he accepted it as his own without questioning it.

He may have not done it himself but the bots that run around looking at names that match do stuff in the background that sometimes actually defeats the intended purposes.

@lookatdesktop I'm sure you're right. It's too bad it remains uncorrected.

What short stories do you write in your e-book?

Mostly fictional, and very short stories. I never do long ones. I can't stay on any subject long enough. It is like that for me. I tend to be more of an observer. For instance, I can spend all day at a chess club, just watching other players like a spectator. I do admire those people who can go all out and actually finish a complete book. They have a real desire to succeed. And it requires devotion, time, concentration and much thought.
